As part of National Child Protection Week, the Department for Child Protection SA (DCP) awards ceremony was held on Wednesday 8 September.
We were invited to attend as the College with the largest number of students welcomed in the last 12 months under the new scholarship program between Catholic Education South Australia and DCP.
Catholic Education won the category of “Improving education and learning outcomes for children in care”, and Principal Gavin McGlaughlin was proud to accept the award from the Minister on behalf of all Catholic schools, but especially on behalf all our community members, staff and carers, who have been so instrumental in welcoming these scholarship students into our community, and supporting their transition and learning.
