Our 7-12 College community gathered on Wednesday 15 February to recognise and celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of 2022 – both of our graduated Year 12s and also the top performers from each of the 7 to 11 Year Levels.
It was wonderful to welcome Sophie McCallum, Nathan Sachse, Talia Zade, David Swaine and Angelina Yu back to the College and recognise their outstanding commitment and academic success as our SACE High Achievers.
Likewise, we had the opportunity to recognise our 2022 College Dux, Lucas Rutter, who was presented with the St Scholastica Award and has his name etched on our St Scholastica Award perpetual shield. We also heard a special address from Joel Byrth, our 2012 College Dux. Both spoke glowingly of their time at St Francis de Sales, the life lessons learnt, the friendships and, importantly, the knowledge, approaches and skills developed that help set them up for success at and after school. Our Heart Values are core commitments that Lucas hopes to take, and Joel has taken, beyond the walls of the College and into adult life.
Finally, we recognised our Year Level Duces; students who attained the highest grade point average in their year level:

The Academic Assembly is a wonderful showcase of the students at our College, and has swiftly become one of our College community's most anticipated traditions.
