Reception mid-year intake will get free tuition in Terms 3 and 4

Reception students who enrol in a mid-year intake will get free tuition in Terms 3 and 4.

This initiative of the South Australian Commission for Catholic Schools (SACCS) aims to reduce the financial burden on families.

All Diocesan schools will offer the Term 3 Reception intake to parents and carers free of charge. The free intake includes tuition fees and compulsory charges. It excludes uniforms and extra-curricular costs.

To find out more or to apply to enrol please refer to below information.

Reception intakes

We offer a Reception intake in Term 1 and 3 of each calendar year.

This is in response to extensive community consultation and a review of our Enrolment Policy.

The first intake (Term 1) includes children who turn five years on or before 30 April. The second mid-year intake (Term 3) includes children who turn five years on or before 31 October.

Children who turn five after that date will commence Reception at the beginning of the following year.

The benefit of being able to start mid-year provides an opportunity to be flexible and responsive to what is best for your child.

We work closely with you to offer a Transition program to support your child as they begin school and become familiar with our Reception teachers and the learning environment.

Children engage with the Early Years Framework within a Reception environment and school setting. They also have opportunities to play and work with others, investigate and explore through inquiry opportunities, develop their natural curiosity and build their knowledge and understanding.

Please feel free to discuss your family’s enrolment requirements with our staff.

Year 7 intake

From Term 1, 2022 all South Australian Year 7 students will be taught in high school. This means that primary schools no longer offer Year 7 unless they offer Early Learning - Year 12, such as our College.

The move of Year 7 to high school aligns all South Australian schools with other states and territories, as well as other education systems in our state.

If you have not yet enrolled your child for Year 7 in 2024 and beyond you can start by visiting us for a College Tour or apply by filling out an Application for Enrolment Form.
